The appointment of Nitin Mengi as vice-president of Lubrizol Additives reinforces the company’s focus on growth in the region.

The Lubrizol Corporation Inc. has recently announced that it has named Nitin Mengi the new vice-president of the Additives division in the IMEA (India, the Middle East and Africa) region and Chairman and managing director of Lubrizol India. The new appointment reinforces the commitment to growth in India of the company, as well as its focus on customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

Mengi possesses over twenty years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in the gas and oils industry in several regions, including the Asia-Pacific and the IMEA areas. The new vice-president obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a focus in petroleum and petrochemicals from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology in Pune (India) and then an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad (India). He spent his entire career with BP, serving also as executive director of Castrol Singapore Private Limited and managing director of PT Castrol Indonesia.

In this role, Mengi will focus on local-for-local innovation, talent and supply chain in order to advance the transportation and industrial markets of the region, propelling the success of the customers. In addition, the new vice-president will also cooperate with Bhavana Bindra, who has been recently appointed as vice-president of Lubrizol for the IMEA region.
