The facility will significantly increase the company’s testing capabilities and enhance the service experience for customers.
ystral, the specialist in mixing and dispersion technology, is investing approximately €1.8 million in a new validation centre at its headquarters in Ballrechten-Dottingen (Germany).
Renowned for designing and manufacturing highly efficient mixing, dispersing and powder wetting machines, as well as complete process systems, ystral’s new validation centre addresses the limitations of its current application technology centre and development laboratory, both of which have reached capacity.
“A major milestone in the company’s history – this is where we truly connect with our customers.” The centre is scheduled for completion by the end of October,” has stated Peter Manke, Managing Director and co-owner of ystral.
The facility will allow production companies to trial ystral’s technology, train their personnel on equipment operation, and use the centre’s advanced testing infrastructure for method and product development. Importantly, it will also accommodate tests involving flammable or explosive media.
The validation centre is equipped with a range of analytical instruments. Samples can be examined under an optical microscope, with capabilities including density measurement and particle size analysis using dynamic light scattering. Viscosity can be measured through various methods—both with and without temperature control—and shear rate curves can be generated.
“Users don’t need to be on site during testing; they can follow the process remotely via livestream,” has added Uwe Klaumünzner, Head of Application Technology.
