The new atomizer generation form Dürr ensures application efficiency of up to 98 percent, saving paint and rinsing agents.
The German engineering company Dürr has recently presented EcoBell4 Pro Hu with direct charging and EcoBell4 Pro Ux with external charging, the newest generation of its atomizers portfolio. The innovative application technology achieves efficiencies of up to 98% for clear coating and reduces paints and rinsing agents consumptions by half or even by up to 91% in combination with the EcoProBooth modular paint booth concept. Existing systems can be retrofitted too.
The improvements are made possible by the unique 4-main needle technology as well as changes to the process parameters for paint application, achieved according to DIN EN 13966-1. The speed and spray distance have been significantly reduced, maximising the effect of the high-voltage while maintaining high the flow rate of the paint. Furthermore, the shaping air is reduced to a minimum and the high-voltage control is adjusted.
Reducing the shaping air volume to a rate of between 90 and 200 standard litters per minute produces a softer spray jet. In addition, if the spray distance is decreased to around 100 millimetres at the same time, more paint reaches the intended surface because the spray pattern is much less scattered and a stronger electrical field between the bell disk and the part enables optimum use of the electrostatic force via a constant voltage.
