The Compound Company to Be Acquired by Industrie Polieco – M.P.B., Strengthening Portfolio for Paints and Coatings

The acquisition will bolster The Compound Company’s polymer expertise and expand Industrie Polieco – M.P.B.’s offering to the global market.

The Compound Company BV has reached an agreement to sell 100% of its shares to Italy-based Industrie Polieco – M.P.B. S.p.A., a major European producer of piping systems and specialised resins used extensively in coating applications. The transaction was closed at the end of December 2025, following customary regulatory approvals and the required consultation process with The Compound Company’s works council under Dutch law.

The Compound Company operates manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands and Germany and is known for its high-performance polymer compounds and chemically functionalised polymers used across a broad range of industrial sectors. Of particular relevance for the global coatings and polymer value chain are its Yparex® impact modifiers, compatibilisers, and coupling agents, which act as key additives in compound formulations, as well as adhesive resins used in tie layers for co-extruded packaging and protective laminates.

“We are very excited to have this new owner on board. Industrie Polieco – M.P.B. is a family-owned business with a long-term view in everything they do, which perfectly matches the company culture from The Compound Company. We are impressed by the success that Industrie Polieco – M.P.B. has achieved since it was founded in 1977. Our combined technologies and know-how will strengthen our offering and create a broader platform for grafted polymers. Our portfolios are highly complementary and combine to a more complete product offering. “We are pleased to be collaborating with the bright and knowledgeable people of Industrie Polieco – M.P.B. as we continue to pursue our strategy and goals for global growth,” has stated Simon Put, Managing Director of The Compound Company.
