Wagner made its SprayPackE control unit more flexible and efficient.

Wagner has recently announced the upgrade of SprayPackE, an entry-level control unit particularly suitable for painters who are switching from manual application to automatic coating that allows to easily and efficiently control automatic guns and motion systems in a connected powder booth. The new function upgrade now ensures even more flexibility and opportunities to increase productivity.

Previously SprayPackE could control a maximum of 20 automatic guns, while the new expansion module now allows to connect up to 32 guns. Moreover, the intuitive touch-screen ensures menu-guided colour changes and other operations that save both time and money, avoiding also operating errors.

The required powder quantity can be set simultaneously for all guns, by groups (up to 8 groups) and also individually. The automatic gap and height control, as well as depth control via recipe parameters also ensure that the spraying takes place only when the workpiece is actually in front of the guns, and the distance between the guns can be further optimised.

The raw data of the coating, for example application, movement and recipe parameters, can either be shared with the customers’ central control system for documentation via an MES interface (OPC-UA) or processed with the information and management platform COATIFY.light provided by Wagner.
