Taking place from 20th to 24th April 2026, HANNOVER MESSE will showcase how resilient energy technologies can boost efficiency, lower costs and guarantee energy security for manufacturers.

HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry, is set to reinforce the role of energy systems in industrial environments. The event will once again bring together key players from industry, the energy sector and politics to network and discuss strategies for a secure, climate-neutral and competitive energy supply.

In Halls 11 to 13, the dedicated “Energy & Industrial Infrastructure” area will feature exhibitors presenting solutions for electrified and sustainable energy supply tailored to industrial production. When combined with AI, these technologies pave the way for smart grids, energy storage systems and sustainable mobility concepts.

The exhibition space is organised into three key clusters: Power Engineering & Energy Automation, Energy Infrastructure & Storage Solutions, and Hydrogen Technologies. Exhibitors include Altech Batteries, the European Commission, Helukabel, Horiba, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT), Lapp, PC Vue, RWE Generation, Salzgitter, Schneider Electric, SFC Energy, Siemens, TÜV Nord and several Fraunhofer Institutes.

Visitors will discover practical solutions for current industrial energy challenges as well as insights into future energy systems. They will also benefit from close proximity to related fields such as the Industrial Internet of Things, cloud computing and IT security, all of which influence the development of modern energy infrastructure.

“Sustainable energy in manufacturing is only possible through a combination of technology, infrastructure and innovation. We present these solutions bundled in the ‘Energy & Industrial Infrastructure’ area, which highlights how manufacturers can make their production processes efficient, flexible and low emission. AI plays an increasingly important role here, because it helps cushion peak loads, control processes intelligently and ensure grid stability,” has stated Basilios Triantafillos, Global Director Trade Fair & Product Management at HANNOVER MESSE.

Efficient, precisely controlled energy is vital for next-generation production. Exhibitors within the “Energy Technology & Energy Automation” cluster will present automation solutions, switching and distribution systems, digital twins and AI-supported control technologies. Visitors will see how the combination of traditional energy engineering and Industry 4.0 principles can lead to smarter, cleaner and more adaptable energy networks.

The “Energy Infrastructure & Storage Solutions” cluster focuses on building resilient and adaptable energy systems to support sustainable manufacturing. Exhibitors will introduce robust grid technologies, digital grid services and both stationary and mobile storage systems, including battery and thermal solutions. The cluster highlights how renewable energy sources, smart load management and integrated storage can ensure stable energy supply for production while supporting electromobility.

Hydrogen is emerging as a cornerstone of climate-neutral industrial production. At the “Hydrogen Technologies” cluster, exhibitors will demonstrate how hydrogen can be integrated directly into industrial processes, with examples ranging from process heat in chemical and steel production to modular factory applications. Around 300 companies will present hydrogen-related innovations and educate visitors about its broad industrial potential.

The special showcase “Hydrogen + Fuel Cells EUROPE” will serve as the central platform for hydrogen discussions at the fair. It will focus on decarbonising manufacturing, hydrogen infrastructure and industrial applications, supported by networking events, a dedicated forum and master classes. These will offer attendees direct access to producers, research bodies and international stakeholders while highlighting the latest manufacturing methods and developments.
