Increasing the production capacity of graphene nanotubes will help OCSiAl meet the growing demand in the international paints and coatings markets.

Nan Chang Xinsu Nano Materials, the Chinese OEM of OCSiAl, has recently launched the new production line for waterborne graphene nanotube suspensions TUBALL™ COAT_E and TUBALL™ LATEX. These graphene nanotubes based-solutions are specifically designed for high-performance conductive coatings made of epoxy, acrylic, polyester, polyurethane and latex, as well as anti-static thermoplastic products.

The ultra-low dosage of nanotubes, combined with its unique properties and easy-to-handle liquid form, allows for the production of more functional and sustainable products without significant changes to the production process and guarantees the following properties:

  • Permanent and stable surface resistivity of 105–108 Ohm/sq regardless of humidity and temperature;
  • Mechanical properties maintained;
  • Absence of release of free carbon particles on the surface of the material;
  • Brilliant colours and transparency of up to 90%.

“Nanotube-empowered coatings are already well explored by manufacturers worldwide, a testament to the unrivalled added value of the product and much simplified technological process compared to conventional solutions,” has stated Ian Fellows, CEO of OCSiAl USA.

“The launch of the new production line by Nan Chang Xinsu Nano Materials has increased TUBALL™ suspension production capacity, contributing to the stability of the manufacturing and supply chains. Coupled with continuous customer support services worldwide, it will also speed up technology adoption and improve the cost-efficiency and accessibility of nanotubes for our customers,” has added Zhi Loyes, General Manager of Greater China and SEA at OCSiAl.
