Parts Finishing was cancelled following strong initial interest, as withdrawals from several companies—driven by cost-cutting, economic uncertainty, and unpredictable business outlooks—made a successful event unlikely.

The Parts Finishing trade fair, scheduled for 12–13 November 2025 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre (Germany), has been cancelled due to the challenging economic climate.

According to the latest Ifo Business Climate Index, business sentiment improved slightly in July, but uncertainty continues to weigh heavily on company expectations. This hesitancy is being reflected not only in restrained investment activity but also in reduced trade fair participation.

The organiser, fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG, had planned to launch the event with an innovative format, presenting three topics under one roof across two days. The organiser will now consult with the exhibitor advisory board to discuss the future of Parts Finishing and to explore options for a new date.

“We initially received very positive feedback and, until around six weeks ago, registrations looked promising. However, several companies have since withdrawn, citing cost-cutting measures, the uncertain economic outlook and difficulties in predicting business development. We believe this is the better alternative than proceeding with an unsatisfactory trade fair,” has stated Nicolas Herdin, Managing Director of fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG.
