Stahl has officially opened its expanded Centre of Excellence for performance coatings
in León (Mexico). The upgraded facility features cutting-edge offices, application laboratories, and testing capabilities, underscoring Stahl’s dedication to providing advanced, lower-impact products closer to customers throughout Latin America.
This investment is part of a broader global expansion, which includes doubling production capacity in China, opening a new manufacturing plant in India, establishing a Centre of Excellence in USA, launching a new laboratory in Japan, and developing a new PUD facility in Singapore. The León centre now boasts a significantly larger footprint than its predecessor and offers a comprehensive customer experience—from multi-substrate design support and application development to testing and training.

The León site forms part of Stahl’s global network, which includes over 30 application laboratories, 10 Centres of Excellence, and 15 manufacturing facilities. It supports the development of high-performance coatings and finishes for industries such as footwear, apparel, automotive and home interiors.
