An advanced robotic system to ensure repeatable UV coating results on heat exchangers treated with ElectroFin® technology

Robotics is not always used to speed up production: in the case of Modine CIS Italy, which has specialised in thermal management solutions for over a century, the integration of two coating robots supplied by CMA Robotics was driven by the need to ensure greater uniformity, repeatability, and control over the application of a UV top coat on heat exchangers with highly complex geometries and stringent performance requirements, which are treated using the patented ElectroFin® process.

Bosch Home Comfort: a new powder coating line for heat pump components, supporting the European energy transition

Bosch’s Aveiro plant was the focus of an investment plan aimed at expanding production capacity for heat pumps destined for the European market and supporting the energy transition in the construction sector towards high-efficiency models. A new powder-coating line designed by Fimel was installed as part of the project and integrated with a hybrid curing oven fitted with Infragas’ BOOSTERCAT® catalytic IR panels.

Prima Sole Components, where the future of automotive part coating is shaped

For a company, expanding its range of target sectors and positioning itself as the ‘factory of the future’ for automotive components requires advanced coating plants, such as the one designed by Trasmetal’s Varnish Tech division for Prima Sole Components’s Oderzo site. Based on a skid-handling system that replaces the traditional power & free conveyor, this new line enables the intensive coating of large components thanks to opposing robots inspired by the automotive industry, which increase its flexibility and application capacity.

New Color, where revamping and digitalising a line made technology more universally accessible

Adopting an innovative approach to business development, powder coating contractor New Colour recently completed a full overhaul of its line. The project involved collaboration with Avin, which, in addition to acting as the prime contractor and coordinating the work, reviewed the plant layout, revamped the curing oven, and fully re-certified the plant; Futura, which replaced the existing monorail conveyor with a power & free system complete with two loading and unloading elevators; and Gema, which installed a new, state-of-the-art powder coating booth alongside the existing one. The resulting plant’s high level of technological sophistication now ensures precision, full traceability, and optimised cycle times.
