This transition from Chemetall is expected to reduce indirect CO₂ emissions by approximately 620 tonnes per year, significantly contributing to the company’s target of sourcing 80% of its electricity from renewable sources across all sites by 2025.
With the new photovoltaic system, Chemetall expects to reduce the CO2 emissions of the Boksburg facility by 92%.
